DRAWLIFE Fundamentals: Use LIFE to DRAW out GRACE (6 hours): You want to help others pursue God’s calling, so you give advice. But it doesn’t really help. Sound familiar? Instead of putting advice in, try drawing out. Drawing out empowers others to process current experience, leverage God’s blessings, and consider ways to pursue God’s calling. In this interactive workshop, you will:
- Identify God’s blessings in terms of GRACE (God’s
work • Relationships • Abilities • Character •
Experience).
- Explore 5 Christian beliefs about drawing out.
- Cultivate transparency through storytelling.
- Understand, experience, and use the DRAW process
(Define • Respond • Analyze • What’s next) and LIFE
skills (Listening • Inquiry • Focusing • Encouragement).
- Develop a list of hot tips for drawing out.
- Reflect on learning.
- Develop action steps to apply learning.
- Take a self-assessment and use the data to increase
self-management.
- Clarify your mission and define the achievement of
your mission.
- Identify your goals, brainstorm options for
addressing your goals, and develop plans for achieving
your goals.
- Schedule action steps.
- Reflect on your learning.
How Well Are Your Students Achieving Your Student Learning Outcomes? (90 minutes): You’re excited about your learning outcomes (student objectives). They identify what you want your students to understand, be able to do, and value; they define your mission in terms of measurable student learning. And now you want to know how well your students are achieving each learning outcome. What can you do? Learn 3 ways to measure student objective achievement. Practice using each way. Then, develop a plan to measure your student objective achievement and, consequently, your mission achievement.
